About
Darbi is a proud San Diego native who has called this city home her entire life. Before pursuing her legal career, she earned a bachelor's degree in Communications and served as a Communications Director for a local church, an experience that sharpened her ability to communicate clearly and connect with people during meaningful moments in their lives.
Driven by a lifelong passion for the law, Darbi took the leap and applied to law school at the start of the pandemic. She was thrilled to be accepted to the University of San Diego School of Law, where she could remain close to her family while pursuing her calling. During law school, Darbi distinguished herself academically and professionally: serving as an Academic Success Fellow, an editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, and a research assistant. She was also a proud member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and was honored with the Law Faculty Outstanding Scholarship Award.
Darbi gained meaningful hands-on experience through externships with the San Diego City Attorney's Office in the Criminal Division and as a Judicial Extern in the Civil Division of the San Diego Superior Court. After passing the California Bar Exam, she joined Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire, where she honed her litigation skills as an Associate Attorney.
Darbi then joined Lass Law, drawn by the firm's commitment to guiding clients through some of life's most personal and challenging transitions. She is passionate about bringing the same dedication and advocacy she developed in civil litigation to the families she now serves, and believes that effective legal representation goes hand in hand with genuine compassion and thoughtfulness for each client's unique situation.
